The CEI StaffThe efforts of this organization are managed by Richard MacLean, Executive Director of The Center for Environmental Innovation. Please click here to learn more about Mr. MacLean. Additionally, Cheryl Williams Levey, Administrative Assistant and Jill Miller, Researcher/Writer/Editor, provide technology and marketing support to help CEI achieve its goals. Richard is also the Director of Richard MacLean & Associates, LLC., a management consulting firm headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona since 1995. Since that time he has led a number of innovative projects related to: management strategy and strategic planning; organization design and optimization; corporate reporting, due diligence and social responsibility; and environmental accounting for a number of domestic and international clients. Richard received a Bachelor's Degree in Chemical Engineering from Northeastern University. He began his career in 1969 as a petroleum research engineer with Shell Oil Company in Houston, Texas. In 1972 he became the Manager of Safety and Environmental Engineering for Raychem Corporation, a producer of products for the electronics industry located in Menlo Park, California. Richard joined General Electric in 1976 where he held a number of environmental, health and safety (EHS) management positions in the Plastics Business Group. In 1986 he was named Manager of Environmental Protection at Corporate Environmental Programs in Fairfield, CT where he was responsible for the design and implementation of environmental policies for GE's world-wide operations. In 1991 he joined Arizona Public Service as Vice President, Environmental Health & Safety. In addition to leading the Company's EHS programs, he was responsible for the Company's research and development activities on environmentally clean technologies such as solar power and electric vehicles.
